Volunteers needed to support victims of hate crime

19 January 2021 (by Jason Wedge (jwedge))

This announcement is on behalf of Walsall Hate Crime Initiative.

We would like to let you know about a volunteering opportunity with one of our projects. The Walsall Hate Crime Reduction Initiative is a new multi-agency project across the Walsall Borough which aims to reduce hate crime. A key element of the initiative offers peer-to-peer support that will be available to victims of hate crime.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to join our dedicated team to support victims of hate. It is an excellent opportunity for local residents to be part of a new dynamic team. The volunteers will be offered training, work experience and an Enhanced DBS check and an opportunity to make a difference in their local community.

Please find the dates for our next training events below:
Hate Crime Victims Support Training –2nd, 3rd Feb and 11th, 12th 10am-1pm
